His long footsteps echoed louder. His baby blue eyes frantically scanned the dark forest, heavy breaths coming in and out, rapid and fearful. He leaned his upper body forward, adding more speed into his feet as he kept running. And running, and running. He had to get out of here. Into perhaps, a city where he could hide behind the commotion. He had to. Fast. He knew someone was watching, marking him as their target, their meal.
And Lord, was he right. Up behind one of those trees, sat a young vampire. Name, Aubrey Cromwell, recently was turned by Antonio Cromwell. Had issues with her bloodlust. She sat, appearing more like crouching, on a tree's branch. Her eyes locked on her prey as she licked her fangs. She was thirsty. Her bloodlust was overtaking again. She had to feed, or else she would go insane. Her victim stopped, out of breath, he still wanted to run but his thin legs were losing their energies. She curled her lips into a sly smirk, she had let her presence to be known for a mere seconds to scare him. Witnessing the fear in her victim's eyes before their deaths was... entertaining.
But enough. Her throat was burning, its dryness creeping up. She had to finish this soon. Being as stealthy as possible, she leaped and landed on more closer tree, noiselessly. She unsheated two daggers and shot them accurately to the victim. A sharp breath was inhaled as the blades went through his chest, sending blood to flow everywhere. Immediately, she followed by lunging forward and grabbing his body from behind.
"Say your final prayer..."
She whispered cooly and emotionlessly, before her fangs sunk into the victim's neck. He screamed. He struggled to break free. But they did nothing. His blood, fresh blood, streamed down to her throat. She felt her body began to recover from its lack of blood, growing stronger by each gulp she had taken. Finally satisfied, she pulled away and tossed the lifeless body away. She cocked her head up, perhaps, she should go to the port soon. Her energy was restored, she could watch over the city with more focus now. She leaped up to a tree, her long dark hair blowing, almost beautifully as she began to make her way to the 'Mouth of Tiamet'.
